2019-2020 Maryland REALTOR Advocacy Conference

Maryland REALTORS will be holding their 2019-20 REALTOR Advocacy Conference on Tuesday, December 17th.  As members of current local leadership, Maryland REALTOR key political committees or advocacy key contact invitees, you are invited to attend both sessions; however, local leadership and political committees should attend the morning sessions and luncheon and key contact invitees are primarily invited for the luncheon and the afternoon sessions.  Again, though, you are welcome to attend both.

While November is Election Month throughout the US, Maryland does not currently have any federal or state elections for 2019 – only a few local elections. Real Estate Laws taking Effect October 1st in Maryland

Click below for a summary of real estate bills that become law on October 1, 2019 in Maryland.  The law changes include: a new duty of confidentiality prior to entering a real estate brokerage relationship; a mandated disclosure for attorneys and title agents who hold escrow money related to a home purchase; and more streamlined licensing options for some out-of-state licensees who are veterans or serving in a military career and relocate to Maryland.
