Americans with Disabilities Act Continuing Education

As of October 1, 2025, Commercial Licensees are required to attend a Topic "P" Americans with Disabilities Act class. This class ("P" 1102-1604, 2 hours) has been approved to fulfill that requirement.

Course Overview

This comprehensive training session is designed to educate Maryland real estate professionals and other stakeholders on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), its amendments, and related state laws. In alignment with the 2025 Maryland legislative updates (HB972/SB680), this course fulfills the new continuing education requirement mandating ADA training for license renewal. 

Who Must Take This Course

  • Maryland Commercial Licensees as required by HB972/SB680 as of October 1, 2025. 

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the legal definitions and protections under the ADA.
  • Identify responsibilities of employers, service providers, and public entities.
  • Apply ADA principles to real-world scenarios in Maryland’s real estate and public sectors.

Online CE Policies

This class is held online and runs from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on December 5, 2025. You must have a camera, the camera MUST be on, and you must be in full face view at all times. All sessions will be recorded as required by the Maryland Real Estate Commission. A desktop or laptop is recommended and you should be in a learning environment away from distractions for the best possible learning experience.
