Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR)

As a REALTOR®, it is vitally important to clearly and frequently articulate your value as a buyer representative. The Accredited Buyer's Representative course is designed to enhance your skills, and Maryland REALTORS® is offering ABR FREE to its members.

The three-day course will be held virtually by zoom. You must complete all three days to earn the certificate of completion.   The August classes do not offer continuing education credits.

Day 1:  August 5, 2024 9:00 am – 1:30 pm
Day 2:  August 6, 2024 – 9:00 am – 1:30 pm
Day 3:  August 7, 2024 – 9:00 am – 1:30 pm

ABR Can Expand Your Skills

As a real estate professional, you are tasked with helping buyers understand the value of having an agent represent them. Buying a home is often a complex process that is a massive financial (and possibly emotional) commitment from a buyer.

Knowing what buyers want is the key to offering services valuable to them. The buyer’s agent represents the buyer in all transactions and ensures that their best interests are not put aside. In short, buyer’s agents are the ones on the buyer’s side! Protecting and safeguarding their information, a buyer’s agent helps them navigate finding the right property at the best prices and terms.

ABR Course Learning Objectives

  • Understand and demonstrate your value proposition to today’s buyer.
  • Acquire the skills and resources to succeed as a buyer’s agent in a dynamic real estate market.
  • Understand the importance of using a buyer representation agreement and acquire the skills and scripting necessary to assist in getting the agreement signed.
