HGTV "House Hunters" Casting Call

I am a casting producer on the HGTV show House Hunters. Not sure if it is something you or someone in your firm may be into, but I thought it might be a good marketing tool for an incredible agent. The property would need to be in escrow with a closing date and must have buyers that are energetic and fun. Drama and challenges are welcome! If it is something you are interested in or know someone who might be, please call with any questions.

House Hunters Agent Info:

Here is a bit of how the show would work. The property would need to be in escrow with a closing date with buyers that are energetic, fun and of course, aesthetically pleasing. Drama and challenges are welcome! We really like when they have specific needs and wants; like must have a sky light or no way would I ever buy a home with base board heaters. The more opinionated the better.

In order to pitch any story to the in-house executives, and then HGTV,
I will need the following:
1. A completed and signed application.
2. A head shot of yourself.
3. An Audition Video (3 minutes long) from yourself.
4. An MLS listing, or at least pictures of the new home, and specs. (a few rooms inside, and a couple of the outside.) from yourself . This brings me to what role you would be fulfilling if the story gets approved.

We would need you for 3 days (Day 2, 3 & 4) for touring the 3 homes. It is a 5 day commitment from the buyer. We work on an 8 hour day schedule. There is no guarantee for the weekends, but I will certainly try. The show breaks down like this:

Day 2- Touring the Purchased Home as if your buyers are seeing it for the first time (you, XX and YY)
Day 3- Touring Decoy Home #1 (you, XX and YY)
Day 4- Touring Decoy Home #2 (you, XX and YY)

What I would need from you in order to pitch their story is a 3 minute audition tape from you. I will email you a separate Realtors Audition Packet that gives you all the necessary information in order for you to accomplish this. This also should be done when you have buyers who want to do the show, as your audition is primarily about the buyer.

A couple of tips when taping yourself is you need to be Energetic and Enthusiastic.
• Please stand for your video, and wear what you would when you are around your clients (suit or shirt/blouse, slacks, and/or tie).
• When you shoot your tape I would put your camera on a tripod or hard  surface, so there is no shaking. If you have someone hold it your tape will be hard to watch.
• Do not sit down, or shoot in front of a window. Just speak to the camera as though it is a client.
• Also do not sit in front of lights or a bright window, as we will  not be able to see you.

The main questions we would like you to highlight are the following.
1. Introduce yourself; name, agency, area you work within.
2. What was the Challenge of working with your clients?
3. What was your Strategy for finding them a home?

We need you to be honest, and to the point. Please do not be overly polite, and not too stagey like everything was/is wonderful (network likes conflict/drama.) The network does not like happy all the time, as nothing in life is that way. There had to be times when both parties were frustrated too. These audition tapes are not for broadcast only the executives will see it.
Feel free to contact me with any questions at anytime. I look forward to viewing your tape if you choose to create one.

Thank you for your time. It is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
--
